"You are making progress in working toward your vision of a plan to save

Dwight L. Moody's legacy at Northfield Mt Hermon School for Jesus Christ,

and to rescue a sale for purely secular purposes..........

I hope you will be successful, Our prayer will be with you and all who are

working with you on this important project........ I would be glad to write a recommendation

letter... I might be able to join advisors on your board (of directors)......

The Lord bless you in all that you are doing in His work.

                                                         In His name

                                          - Samuel Hugh Moffett,

Jack was born in Pyongyang, Korea, where his grandparents and parents were long time Presbyterian missionaries. Since 1968, Jack and his wife, Mary Anne Voelkel, have served with the Latin America Mission in Colombia, first as student workers and more recently as professors in the Biblical Seminary in Medellin. At present Mary Anne works half-time for InterVarsity in the area of prayer and spiritual formation. Jack volunteers for Urbana.org and travels to South America two and a half months of the year to teach.

(quoted from http://www.urbana.org/wtoday.witnesses.cfm?article=21)

"Thanks for your enthusiasm and great appreciation for the pioneers

who took the Gospel to Korea. I am fascinated about the information

you discovered about W.L. Swallen (my material grandfather)!  I am
glad to know of his connection to the SVM.

My mother (Gertrude Swallen) travelled with the SVM in the 20's for
two years after her graduation from Moody Bible Institute....

With the presence of growing Korean churches in the U.S. and
Canada, I welcome the vision that you and your colleagues
and projecting.

I would be honored to be considered for membership in the
advisory group for "Back to Northfield".......
I am still hoping to be able to visit you....

May the Lord continue to bless your efforts.

Jack
