1 Chronicles 20

대상20:1 해가 바뀌어 왕들이 출전할 때가 되매 요압이 그 군대를 거느리고 나가서 암몬 자손의 땅을 격파하고 들어가 랍바를 에워싸고 다윗은 예루살렘에 그대로 있더니 요압이 랍바를 쳐서 함락시키매

In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, Joab led out the armed forces. He laid waste the land of the Ammonites and went to Rabbah and besieged it, but David remained in Jerusalem. Joab attacked Rabbah and left it in ruins.

대상20:2 다윗이 그 왕의 머리에서 보석 있는 왕관을 빼앗아 중량을 달아보니 금 한 달란트라 그들의 왕관을 자기 머리에 쓰니라 다윗이 또 그 성에서 노략한 물건을 무수히 내오고

David took the crown from the head of their king--its weight was found to be a talent of gold, and it was set with precious stones--and it was placed on David's head. He took a great quantity of plunder from the city

대상20:3 그 가운데 백성을 끌어내어 톱과 쇠도끼와 돌써래로 일하게 하니라 다윗이 암몬 자손의 모든 성읍을 이같이 하고 다윗이 모든 백성과 함께 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라

and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes. David did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then David and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.

대상20:4 이 후에 블레셋 사람들과 게셀에서 전쟁할 때에 후사 사람 십브개가 키가 큰 자의 아들 중에 십배를 쳐죽이매 그들이 항복하였더라

In the course of time, war broke out with the Philistines, at Gezer. At that time Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Sippai, one of the descendants of the Rephaites, and the Philistines were subjugated.

대상20:5 다시 블레셋 사람들과 전쟁할 때에 야일의 아들 엘하난이 가드 사람 골리앗의 아우 라흐미를 죽였는데 이 사람의 창자루는 베틀채 같았더라

In another battle with the Philistines, Elhanan son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod.

대상20:6 또 가드에서 전쟁할 때에 그 곳에 키 큰 자 하나는 손과 발에 가락이 여섯씩 모두 스물넷이 있는데 그도 키가 큰 자의 소생이라

In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot--twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha.

대상20:7 그가 이스라엘을 보복하므로 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들 요나단이 그를 죽이니라

When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David's brother, killed him.

대상20:8 가드의 키 큰 자의 소생이라도 다윗의 손과 그 신하의 손에 다 죽었더라

These were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.

1 Chronicles 21

대상21:1 사탄이 일어나 이스라엘을 대적하고 다윗을 충동하여 이스라엘을 계수하게 하니라

Then David said, "The house of the LORD God is to be here, and also the altar of burnt offering for Israel."

대상21:2 다윗이 요압과 백성의 지도자들에게 이르되 너희는 가서 브엘세바에서부터 단까지 이스라엘을 계수하고 돌아와 내게 보고하여 그 수효를 알게 하라 하니

So David gave orders to assemble the aliens living in Israel, and from among them he appointed stonecutters to prepare dressed stone for building the house of God.

대상21:3 요압이 아뢰되 여호와에서 그 백성을 지금보다 백 배나 더하시기를 원하나이다 내 주 왕이여 이 백성이 다 내 주의 종이 아니니이까 내 주께서 어찌하여 이 일을 명령하시나이까 어찌하여 이스라엘이 범죄하게 하시나이까 하나

He provided a large amount of iron to make nails for the doors of the gateways and for the fittings, and more bronze than could be weighed.

대상21:4 왕의 명령이 요압을 재촉한지라 드디어 요압이 떠나 이스라엘 땅에 두루 다닌 후에 예루살렘으로 돌아와

He also provided more cedar logs than could be counted, for the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought large numbers of them to David.

대상21:5 요압이 백성의 수효를 다윗에게 보고하니 이스라엘 중에 칼을 뺄 만한 자가 백십만 명이요 유다 중에 칼을 뺄 만한 자가 사십칠만 명이라

David said, "My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the LORD should be of great magnificence and fame and splendor in the sight of all the nations. Therefore I will make preparations for it." So David made extensive preparations before his death.

대상21:6 요압이 왕의 명령을 마땅치 않게 여겨 레위와 베냐민 사람은 계수하지 아니하였더라

Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel.

대상21:7 하나님이 이 일을 악하게 여기사 이스라엘을 치시매

David said to Solomon: "My son, I had it in my heart to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God.

대상21:8 다윗이 하나님께 아뢰되 내가 이 일을 행함으로 큰 죄를 범하였나이다 이제 간구하옵나니 종의 죄를 용서하여 주옵소서 내가 심히 미련하게 행하였나이다 하니라

But this word of the LORD came to me: 'You have shed much blood and have fought many wars. You are not to build a house for my Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

대상21:9 여호와께서 다윗의 선견자 갓에게 말씀하여 이르시되

But you will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant Israel peace and quiet during his reign.

대상21:10 가서 다윗에게 말하여 이르기를 여호와의 말씀이 내가 네게 세 가지를 내어 놓으리니 그 중에서 하나를 네가 택하라 내가 그것을 네게 행하리라 하셨다 하라 하신지라

He is the one who will build a house for my Name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.'

대상21:11 갓이 다윗에게 나아가 그에게 말하되 여호와의 말씀이 너는 마음대로 택하라

"Now, my son, the LORD be with you, and may you have success and build the house of the LORD your God, as he said you would.

대상21:12 혹 삼년 기근이든지 혹 네가 석 달을 적군에게 패하여 적군의 칼에 쫓길 일이든지 혹 여호와의 칼 곧 전염병이 사흘 동안 이 땅에 유행하며 여호와의 천사가 이스라엘 온 지경을 멸할 일이든지 라고 하셨나니 내가 무슨 말로 나를 보내신 이에게 대답할 것을 결정하소서 하니

May the LORD give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

대상21:13 다윗이 갓에게 이르되 내가 곤경에 빠졌도다 여호와께서는 긍휼이 심히 크시니 내가 그의 손에 빠지고 사람의 손에 빠지지 아니하기를 원하나이다 하는지라

Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the LORD gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.

대상21:14 이에 여호와께서 이스라엘 백성에게 전염병을 내리시매 이스라엘 백성 중에서 죽은 자가 칠만 명이었더라

"I have taken great pains to provide for the temple of the LORD a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, quantities of bronze and iron too great to be weighed, and wood and stone. And you may add to them.

대상21:15 하나님이 예루살렘을 멸하러 천사를 보내셨더니 천사가 멸하려 할 때에 여호와께서 보시고 이 재앙 내림을 뉘우치사 멸하는 천사에게 이르시되 족하다 이제는 네 손을 거두라 하시니 그 때에 여호와의 천사가 여부스 사람 오르난의 타작 마당 곁에 선지라

You have many workmen: stonecutters, masons and carpenters, as well as men skilled in every kind of work

대상21:16 다윗이 눈을 들어 보매 여호와의 천사가 천지 사이에 섰고 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 예루살렘 하늘을 향하여 편지라 다윗이 장로들과 더불어 굵은 베를 입고 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려

in gold and silver, bronze and iron--craftsmen beyond number. Now begin the work, and the LORD be with you."

대상21:17 하나님께 아뢰되 명령하여 백성을 계수하게 한 자가 내가 아니니이까 범죄하고 악을 행한 자는 곧 나이니이다 이 양떼는 무엇을 행하였나이까 청하건대 나의 하나님 여호와여 주의 손으로 나와 내 아버지의 집을 치시고 주의 백성에게 재앙을 내리지 마옵소서 하니라

Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.

대상21:18 여호와의 천사가 갓을 명령하여 다윗에게 이르시기를 다윗은 올라가서 여부스 사람 오르난의 타작 마당에서 여호와를 위하여 제단을 쌓으라 하신지라

He said to them, "Is not the LORD your God with you? And has he not granted you rest on every side? For he has handed the inhabitants of the land over to me, and the land is subject to the LORD and to his people.

대상21:19 이에 갓이 여호와의 이름으로 이른 말씀대로 다윗이 올라가니라

Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD."

대상21:20 그 때에 오르난이 밀을 타작하다가 돌이켜 천사를 보고 오르난이 네 명의 아들과 함께 숨었더니

대상21:21 다윗이 오르난에게 나아가매 오르난이 내다보다가 다윗을 보고 타작 마당에서 나와 얼굴을 땅에 대고 다윗에게 절하매

When David was old and full of years, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

대상21:22 다윗이 오르난에게 이르되 이 타작하는 곳을 내게 넘기라 너는 상당한 값으로 내게 넘기라 내가 여호와를 위하여 여기 한 제단을 쌓으리니 그리하면 전염병이 백성 중에서 그치리라 하니

He also gathered together all the leaders of Israel, as well as the priests and Levites.

대상21:23 오르난이 다윗에게 말하되 왕은 취하소서 내 주 왕께서 좋게 여기시는 대로 행하소서 보소서 내가 이것들을 드리나이다 소들은 번제물로, 곡식 떠는 기계는 화목으로, 밀은 소제물로 삼으시기 위하여 다 드리나이다 하는지라

The Levites thirty years old or more were counted, and the total number of men was thirty-eight thousand.

대상21:24 다윗 왕이 오르난에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하다 내가 반드시 상당한 값으로 사리라 내가 여호와께 드리려고 네 물건을 빼앗지 아니하겠고 값 없이는 번제를 드리지도 아니하리라 하니라

David said, "Of these, twenty-four thousand are to supervise the work of the temple of the LORD and six thousand are to be officials and judges.

대상21:25 그리하여 다윗은 그 자리에서 금 육백 세겔을 달아 오르난에게 주므로

Four thousand are to be gatekeepers and four thousand are to praise the LORD with the musical instruments I have provided for that purpose."

대상21:26 다윗이 거기서 여호와를 위하여 제단을 쌓고 번제와 화목제를 드려 여호와께 아뢰었더니 여호와께서 하늘에서부터 번제단 위에 불을 내려 응답하시고

David divided the Levites into groups corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath and Merari.

대상21:27 여호와께서 천사를 명령하시매 그가 칼을 칼집에 꽂았더라

Belonging to the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.

대상21:28 이 때에 다윗이 여호와께서 여부스 사람 오르난의 타작 마당에서 응답하심을 보고 거기서 제사를 드렸으니

The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the first, Zetham and Joel--three in all.

대상21:29 옛적에 모세가 광야에서 지은 여호와의 성막과 번제단이 그 때에 기브온 산당에 있었으나

The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel and Haran--three in all. These were the heads of the families of Ladan.

대상21:30 다윗이 여호와의 천사의 칼을 두려워하여 감히 그 앞에 가서 하나님께 묻지 못하더라

And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Ziza, Jeush and Beriah. These were the sons of Shimei--four in all.

역대상 (1 Chronicles) 22 장.

Jahath was the first and Ziza the second, but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons; so they were counted as one family with one assignment.

대상22:1 다윗이 이르되 이는 여호와 하나님의 성전이요 이는 이스라엘의 번제단이라 하였더라

The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel--four in all.

대상22:2 다윗이 명령하여 이스라엘 땅에 거류하는 이방 사람을 모으고 석수를 시켜 하나님의 성전을 건축할 돌을 다듬게 하고

The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron was set apart, he and his descendants forever, to consecrate the most holy things, to offer sacrifices before the LORD, to minister before him and to pronounce blessings in his name forever.

대상22:3 다윗이 또 문짝 못과 거멀 못에 쓸 철을 많이 준비하고 또 무게를 달 수 없을 만큼 심히 많은 놋을 준비하고

The sons of Moses the man of God were counted as part of the tribe of Levi.

대상22:4 또 백향목을 무수히 준비하였으니 이는 시돈 사람과 두로 사람이 백향목을 다윗에게로 많이 수운하여 왔음이라

The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.

대상22:5 다윗이 이르되 내 아들 솔로몬은 어리고 미숙하고 여호와를 위하여 건축할 성전은 극히 웅장하여 만국에 명성과 영광이 있게 하여야 할지라 그러므로 내가 이제 그것을 위하여 준비하리라 하고 다윗이 죽기 전에 많이 준비하였더라

The descendants of Gershom: Shubael was the first.

대상22:6 다윗이 그의 아들 솔로몬을 불러 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 위하여 성전 건축하기를 부탁하여

The descendants of Eliezer: Rehabiah was the first. Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous.

대상22:7 다윗이 솔로몬에게 이르되 내 아들아 나는 내 하나님 여호와의 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축할 마음이 있었으나

The sons of Izhar: Shelomith was the first.

대상22:8 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되 너는 피를 심히 많이 흘렸고 크게 전쟁하였느니라 네가 내 앞에서 땅에 피를 많이 흘렸은즉 내 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하지 못하리라

The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.

대상22:9 보라 한 아들이 네게서 나리니 그는 온순한 사람이라 내가 그로 주변 모든 대적에게서 평온을 얻게 하리라 그의 이름을 솔로몬이라 하리니 이는 내가 그의 생전에 평안과 안일함을 이스라엘에게 줄 것임이니라

The sons of Uzziel: Micah the first and Isshiah the second.

대상22:10 그가 내 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축할지라 그는 내 아들이 되고 나는 그의 아버지가 되어 그 나라 왕위를 이스라엘 위에 굳게 세워 영원까지 이르게 하리라 하셨나니

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.

대상22:11 이제 내 아들아 여호와께서 너와 함께 계시기를 원하며 네가 형통하여 여호와께서 네게 대하여 말씀하신 대로 네 하나님 여호와의 성전을 건축하며

Eleazar died without having sons: he had only daughters. Their cousins, the sons of Kish, married them.

대상22:12 여호와께서 네게 지혜와 총명을 주사 네게 이스라엘을 다스리게 하시고 네 하나님 여호와의 율법을 지키게 하시기를 더욱 원하노라

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth--three in all.

대상22:13 그 때에 네가 만일 여호와께서 모세를 통하여 이스라엘에게 명령하신 모든 규례와 법도를 삼가 행하면 형통하리니 강하고 담대하여 두려워하지 말고 놀라지 말지어다

These were the descendants of Levi by their families--the heads of families as they were registered under their names and counted individually, that is, the workers twenty years old or more who served in the temple of the LORD.

대상22:14 내가 환난 중에 여호와의 성전을 위하여 금 십만 달란트와 은 백만 달란트와 놋과 철을 그 무게를 달 수 없을 만큼 심히 많이 준비하였고 또 재목과 돌을 준비하였으나 너는 더할 것이며

For David had said, "Since the LORD, the God of Israel, has granted rest to his people and has come to dwell in Jerusalem forever,

대상22:15 또 장인이 네게 많이 있나니 곧 석수와 목수와 온갖 일에 익숙한 모든 사람이니라

the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the articles used in its service."

대상22:16 금과 은과 놋과 철이 무수하니 너는 일어나 일하라 여호와께서 너와 함께 계실지로다 하니라

According to the last instructions of David, the Levites were counted from those twenty years old or more.

대상22:17 다윗이 또 이스라엘 모든 방백에게 명령하여 그의 아들 솔로몬을 도우라 하여 이르되

The duty of the Levites was to help Aaron's descendants in the service of the temple of the LORD: to be in charge of the courtyards, the side rooms, the purification of all sacred things and the performance of other duties at the house of God.

대상22:18 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희와 함께 계시지 아니하시느냐 사면으로 너희에게 평온함을 주지 아니하셨느냐 이 땅 주민을 내 손에 넘기사 이 땅으로 여호와와 그의 백성 앞에 복종하게 하셨나니

They were in charge of the bread set out on the table, the flour for the grain offerings, the unleavened wafers, the baking and the mixing, and all measurements of quantity and size.

대상22:19 이제 너희는 마음과 뜻을 바쳐서 너희 하나님 여호와를 구하라 그리고 일어나서 여호와 하나님의 성전을 건축하고 여호와의 언약궤와 하나님 성전의 기물을 가져다가 여호와의 이름을 위하여 건축한 성전에 들이게 하라 하였더라

They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD. They were to do the same in the evening
