출애굽기 29 장.

출29:1 네가 그들에게 나를 섬길 제사장 직분을 위임하여 그들을 거룩하게 할 일은 이러하니 곧 어린 수소 하나와 흠 없는 숫양 둘을 택하고

출29:2 무교병과 기름 섞인 무교 과자와 기름 바른 무교 전병을 모두 고운 밀가루로 만들고

출29:3 그것들을 한 광주리에 담고 그것을 광주리에 담은 채 그 송아지와 두 양과 함께 가져오라

출29:4 너는 아론과 그의 아들들을 회막 문으로 데려다가 물로 씻기고

출29:5 의복을 가져다가 아론에게 속옷과 에봇 받침 겉옷과 에봇을 입히고 흉패를 달고 에봇에 정교하게 짠 띠를 띠게 하고

출29:6 그의 머리에 관을 씌우고 그 위에 거룩한 패를 더하고

출29:7 관유를 가져다가 그의 머리에 부어 바르고

출29:8 그의 아들들을 데려다가 그들에게 속옷을 입히고

출29:9 아론과 그의 아들들에게 띠를 띠우며 관을 씌워 그들에게 제사장의 직분을 맡겨 영원한 규례가 되게 하라 너는 이같이 아론과 그의 아들들에게 위임하여 거룩하게 할지니라

출29:10 너는 수송아지를 회막 앞으로 끌어오고 아론과 그의 아들들은 그 송아지 머리에 안수할지며

출29:11 너는 회막문 여호와 앞에서 그 송아지를 잡고

출29:12 그 피를 네 손가락으로 제단 뿔들에 바르고 그 피 전부를 제단 밑에 쏟을지며

출29:13 내장에 덮인 모든 기름과 간 위에 있는 꺼풀과 두 콩팥과 그 위의 기름을 가져다가 제단 위에 불사르고

출29:14 그 수소의 고기와 가죽과 똥을 진 밖에서 불사르라 이는 속죄제니라

출29:15 너는 또 숫양 한 마리를 끌어오고 아론과 그의 아들들은 그 숫양의 머리 위에 안수할지며

출29:16 너는 그 숫양을 잡고 그 피를 가져다가 제단 위의 주위에 뿌리고

출29:17 그 숫양의 각을 뜨고 그 장부와 다리는 씻어 각을 뜬 고기와 그 머리와 함께 두고

출29:18 그 숫양 전부를 제단 위에 불사르라 이는 여호와께 드리는 번제요 이는 향기로운 냄새니 여호와께 드리는 화제니라

출29:19 너는 다른 숫양을 택하고 아론과 그 아들들은 그 숫양의 머리 위에 안수할지며

출29:20 너는 그 숫양을 잡고 그것의 피를 가져다가 아론의 오른쪽 귓부리와 그의 아들들의 오른쪽 귓부리에 바르고 그 오른손 엄지와 오른발 엄지에 바르고 그 피를 제단 주위에 뿌리고

출29:21 제단 위의 피와 관유를 가져다가 아론과 그의 옷과 그의 아들들과 그의 아들들의 옷에 뿌리라 그와 그의 옷과 그의 아들들과 그의 아들들의 옷이 거룩하리라

출29:22 또 너는 그 숫양의 기름과 기름진 꼬리와 그것의 내장에 덮인 기름과 간 위의 꺼풀과 두 콩팥과 그것들 위의 기름과 오른쪽 넓적다리를 가지라 이는 위임식의 숫양이라

출29:23 또 여호와 앞에 있는 무교병 광주리에서 떡 한 개와 기름 바른 과자 한 개와 전병 한 개를 가져다가

출29:24 그 전부를 아론의 손과 그의 아들들의 손에 주고 그것을 흔들어 여호와 앞에 요제를 삼을지며

출29:25 너는 그것을 그들의 손에서 가져다가 제단 위에서 번제물을 더하여 불사르라 이는 여호와 앞에 향기로운 냄새니 곧 여호와께 드리는 화제니라

출29:26 너는 아론의 위임식 숫양의 가슴을 가져다가 여호와 앞에 흔들어 요제를 삼으라 이것이 네 분깃이니라

출29:27 너는 그 흔든 요제물 곧 아론과 그의 아들들의 위임식 숫양의 가슴과 넓적다리를 거룩하게 하라

출29:28 이는 이스라엘 자손이 아론과 그의 자손에게 돌릴 영원한 분깃이요 거제물이니 곧 이스라엘 자손이 화목제의 제물 중에서 취한 거제물로서 여호와께 드리는 거제물이니라

출29:29 아론의 성의는 후에 아론의 아들들에게 돌릴지니 그들이 그것을 입고 기름 부음으로 위임을 받을 것이며

출29:30 그를 이어 제사장이 되는 아들이 회막에 들어가서 성소에서 섬길 때에는 이레 동안 그것을 입을지니라

출29:31 너는 위임식 숫양을 가져다가 거룩한 곳에서 그 고기를 삶고

출29:32 아론과 그의 아들들은 회막 문에서 그 숫양의 고기와 광주리에 있는 떡을 먹을지라

출29:33 그들은 속죄물 곧 그들을 위임하며 그들을 거룩하게 하는 데 쓰는 것을 먹되 타인은 먹지 못할지니 그것이 거룩하기 때문이라

출29:34 위임식 고기나 떡이 아침까지 남아 있으면 그것을 불에 사를지니 이는 거룩한즉 먹지 못할지니라

출29:35 너는 내가 네게 한 모든 명령대로 아론과 그의 아들들에게 그같이 하여 이레 동안 위임식을 행하되

출29:36 매일 수송아지 하나로 속죄하기 위하여 속죄제를 드리며 또 제단을 위하여 속죄하여 깨끗하게 하고 그것에 기름을 부어 거룩하게 하라

출29:37 너는 이레 동안 제단을 위하여 속죄하여 거룩하게 하라 그리하면 지극히 거룩한 제단이 되리니 제단에 접촉하는 모든 것이 거룩하리라

출29:38 네가 제단 위에 드릴 것은 이러하니라 매일 일 년 된 어린 양 두 마리니

출29:39 한 어린 양은 아침에 드리고 한 어린 양은 저녁 때에 드릴지며

출29:40 한 어린 양에 고운 밀가루 십분의 일 에바와 찧은 기름 사분의 일 힌을 더하고 또 전제로 포도주 사분의 일 힌을 더할지며

출29:41 한 어린 양은 저녁 때에 드리되 아침에 한 것처럼 소제와 전제를 그것과 함께 드려 향기로운 냄새가 되게 하여 여호와께 화제로 삼을지니

출29:42 이는 너희가 대대로 여호와 앞 회막 문에서 늘 드릴 번제라 내가 거기서 너희와 만나고 네게 말하리라

출29:43 내가 거기서 이스라엘 자손을 만나리니 내 영광으로 말미암아 화막이 거룩하게 될지라

출29:44 내가 그 회막과 제단을 거룩하게 하며 아론과 그의 아들들도 거룩하게 하여 내게 제사장 직분을 행하게 하며

출29:45 내가 이스라엘 자손 중에 거하여 그들의 하나님이 되리니

출29:46 그들은 내가 그들의 하나님 여호와로서 그들 중에 거하려고 그들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 줄을 알리라 나는 그들의 하나님 여호와니라

요한복음 8 장.

요8:1 예수는 감람 산으로 가시다

요8:2 아침에 다시 성전으로 들어오시니 백성이 다 나아오는지라 앉으사 그들을 가르치시더니

요8:3 서기관들과 바리새인들이 음행 중에 잡힌 여자를 끌고 와서 가운데 세우고

요8:4 예수께 말하되 선생이여 이 여자가 간음하다가 현장에서 잡혔나이다

요8:5 모세는 율법에 이러한 여자를 돌로 치라 명하였거니와 선생은 어떻게 말하겠나이까

요8:6 그들이 이렇게 말함은 고발할 조건을 얻고자 하여 예수를 시험함이러라 예수께서 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니

요8:7 그들이 묻기를 마지 아니하는지라 이에 일어나 이르시되 너희 중에 죄 없는 자가 먼저 돌로 치라 하시고

요8:8 다시 몸을 굽혀 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니

요8:9 그들이 이 말씀을 듣고 양심의 가책을 느껴 어른으로 시작하여 젊은이까지 하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 그 가운데 섰는 여자만 남았더라

요8:10 예수께서 일어나사 여자 외에 아무도 없는 것을 보시고 이르시되 여자여 너를 고발하던 그들이 어디 있느냐 너를 정죄한 자가 없느냐

요8:11 대답하되 주여 없나이다 예수께서 이르시되 나도 너를 정죄하지 아니하노니 가서 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하시니라)

요8:12 예수께서 또 말씀하여 이르시되 나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라

요8:13 바리새인들이 이르되 네가 너를 위하여 증언하니 네 증언은 참되지 아니하도다

요8:14 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 내가 나를 위하여 증언하여도 내 증언이 참되니 나는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로 가는 것을 알거니와 너희는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로 가는 것을 알지 못하느니라

요8:15 너희는 육체를 따라 판단하나 나는 아무도 판단하지 아니하노라

요8:16 만일 내가 판단하여도 내 판단이 참되니 이는 내가 혼자 있는 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 계심이라

요8:17 너희 율법에도 두 사람의 증언이 참되다 기록되었으니

요8:18 내가 나를 위하여 증언하는 자가 되고 나를 보내신 아버지도 나를 위하여 증언하시느니라

요8:19 이에 그들이 묻되 네 아버지가 어디 있느냐 예수께서 대답하시되 너희는 나를 알지 못하고 내 아버지도 알지 못하는도다 나를 알았더라면 내 아버지도 알았으리라

요8:20 이 말씀은 성전에서 가르치실 때에 헌금함 앞에서 하셨으나 잡는 사람이 없으니 이는 그의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였음이러라

요8:21 다시 이르시되 내가 가리니 너희가 나를 찾다가 너희 죄 가운데서 죽겠고 나의 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라

요8:22 유대인들이 이르되 그가 말하기를 내가 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라 하니 그가 자결하려는가

요8:23 예수께서 이르시되 너희는 아래에서 났고 나는 위에서 났으며 너희는 이 세상에 속하였고 나는 이 세상에 속하지 아니하였느니라

요8:24 이러므로 내가 너희에게 말하기를 너희가 너희 죄 가운데서 죽으리라 하였노라 너희가 만일 내가 그인 줄 믿지 아니하면 너희 죄 가운데서 죽으리라

요8:25 그들이 말하되 네가 누구냐 예수께서 이르시되 나는 처음부터 너희에게 말하여 온 자니라

요8:26 내가 너희에게 대하여 말하고 판단할 것이 많으나 나를 보내신 이가 참되시매 내가 그에게 들은 그것을 세상에 말하노라 하시되

요8:27 그들은 아버지를 가리켜 말씀하신 줄을 깨닫지 못하더라

요8:28 이에 예수께서 이르시되 너희는 인자를 든 후에 내가 그인 줄을 알고 또 내가 스스로 아무 것도 하지 아니하고 오직 아버지께서 가르치신 대로 이런 것을 말하는 줄도 알리라

요8:29 나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 하시도다 내가 항상 그가 기뻐하시는 일을 행하므로 나를 혼자 두지 아니하셨느니라

요8:30 이 말씀을 하시매 많은 사람이 믿더라

요8:31 그러므로 예수께서 자기를 믿은 유대인들에게 이르시되 너희가 내 말에 거하면 참으로 내 제자가 되고

요8:32 진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 하리라

요8:33 그들이 대답하되 우리가 아브라함의 자손이라 남의 종이 된 적이 없거늘 어찌하여 우리가 자유롭게 되리라 하느냐

요8:34 예수께서 대답하시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 죄를 범하는 자마다 죄의 종이라

요8:35 종은 영원히 집에 거하지 못하되 아들은 영원히 거하나니

요8:36 그러므로 아들이 너희를 자유롭게 하면 너희가 참으로 자유로우리라

요8:37 나도 너희가 아브라함의 자손인 줄 아노라 그러나 내 말이 너희 안에 있을 곳이 없으므로 나를 죽이려 하는도다

요8:38 나는 내 아버지에게서 본 것을 말하고 너희는 너희 아비에게서 들은 것을 행하느니라

요8:39 대답하여 이르되 우리 아버지는 아브라함이라 하니 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 아브라함의 자손이면 아브라함의 행한 일들을 할 것이거늘

요8:40 지금 하나님께 들은 진리를 너희에게 말한 사람인 나를 죽이려 하는도다 아브라함은 이렇게 하지 아니하였느니라

요8:41 너희는 너희 아비가 행한 일들을 하는도다 대답하되 우리가 음란한 데서 나지 아니하였고 아버지는 한 분뿐이시니 곧 하나님이시로다

요8:42 예수께서 이르시되 하나님이 너희 아버지였으면 너희가 나를 사랑하였으리니 이는 내가 하나님께로부터 나와서 왔음이라 나는 스스로 온 것이 아니요 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것이니라

요8:43 어찌하여 내 말을 깨닫지 못하느냐 이는 내 말을 들을 줄 알지 못함이로다

요8:44 너희는 너희 아비 마귀에게서 났으니 너희 아비의 욕심을 너희도 행하고자 하느니라 그는 처음부터 살인한 자요 진리가 그 속에 없으므로 진리에 서지 못하고 거짓을 말할 때마다 제 것으로 말하나니 이는 그가 거짓말쟁이요 거짓의 아비가 되었음이라

요8:45 내가 진리를 말하므로 너희가 나를 믿지 아니하는도다

요8:46 너희 중에 누가 나를 죄로 책잡겠느냐 내가 진리를 말하는데도 어찌하여 나를 믿지 아니하느냐

요8:47 하나님께 속한 자는 하나님의 말씀을 듣나니 너희가 듣지 아니함은 하나님께 속하지 아니하였음이로다

요8:48 유대인들이 대답하여 이르되 우리가 너를 사마리아 사람이라 또는 귀신이 들렸다 하는 말이 옳지 아니하냐

요8:49 예수께서 대답하시되 나는 귀신 들린 것이 아니라 오직 내 아버지를 공경함이거늘 너희가 나를 무시하는도다

요8:50 나는 내 영광을 구하지 아니하나 구하고 판단하시는 이가 계시니라

요8:51 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 내 말을 지키면 영원히 죽음을 보지 아니하리라

요8:52 유대인들이 이르되 지금 네가 귀신 들린 줄을 아노라 아브라함과 선지자들도 죽었거늘 네 말은 사람이 내 말을 지키면 영원히 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라 하니

요8:53 너는 이미 죽은 우리 조상 아브라함보다 크냐 또 선지자들도 죽었거늘 너는 너를 누구라 하느냐

요8:54 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 내게 영광을 돌리면 내 영광이 아무 것도 아니거니와 내게 영광을 돌리시는 이는 내 아버지시니 곧 너희가 너희 하나님이라 칭하는 그이시라

요8:55 너희는 그를 알지 못하되 나는 아노니 만일 내가 알지 못한다 하면 나도 너희 같이 거짓말쟁이가 되리라 나는 그를 알고 또 그의 말씀을 지키노라

요8:56 너희 조상 아브라함은 나의 때 볼 것을 즐거워하다가 보고 기뻐하였느니라

요8:57 유대인들이 이르되 네가 아직 오십 세도 못되었는데 아브라함을 보았느냐

요8:58 예수께서 이르시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아브라함이 나기 전부터 내가 있느니라 하시니

요8:59 그들이 돌을 들어 치려 하거늘 예수께서 숨어 성전에서 나가시니라

잠언 5 장.

잠5:1 내 아들아 내 지혜에 주의하며 내 명철에 네 귀를 기울여서

잠5:2 근신을 지키며 네 입술로 지식을 지키도록 하라

잠5:3 대저 음녀의 입술은 꿀을 떨어뜨리며 그의 입은 기름보다 미끄러우나

잠5:4 나중은 쑥 같이 쓰고 두 날 가진 칼 같이 날카로우며

잠5:5 그의 발은 사지로 내려가며 그의 걸음은 스올로 나아가나니

잠5:6 그는 생명의 평탄한 길을 찾지 못하며 자기 길이 든든하지 못하여도 그것을 깨닫지 못하느니라

잠5:7 그런즉 아들들아 나에게 들으며 내 입의 말을 버리지 말고

잠5:8 네 길을 그에게서 멀리 하라 그의 집 문에도 가까이 가지 말라

잠5:9 두렵건대 네 존영이 남에게 잃어버리게 되며 네 수한이 잔인한 자에게 빼앗기게 될까 하노라

잠5:10 두렵건대 타인이 네 재물로 충족하게 되며 네 수고한 것이 외인의 집에 있게 될까 하노라

잠5:11 두렵건대 마지막에 이르러 네 몸, 네 육체가 쇠약할 때에 네가 한탄하여

잠5:12 말하기를 내가 어찌하여 훈계를 싫어하며 내 마음이 꾸지람을 가벼이 여기고

잠5:13 내 선생의 목소리를 청종하지 아니하며 나를 가르치는 이에게 귀를 기울이지 아니하였던고

잠5:14 많은 무리들이 모인 중에서 큰 악에 빠지게 되었노라 하게 될까 염려하노라

잠5:15 너는 네 우물에서 물을 마시며 네 샘에서 흐르는 물을 마시라

잠5:16 어찌하여 네 샘물을 집 밖으로 넘치게 하며 네 도랑물을 거리로 흘러가게 하겠느냐

잠5:17 그 물이 네게만 있게 하고 타인과 더불어 그것을 나누지 말라

잠5:18 네 샘으로 복되게 하라 네가 젊어서 취한 아내를 즐거워하라

잠5:19 그는 사랑스러운 암사슴 같고 아름다운 암노루 같으니 너는 그의 품을 항상 족하게 여기며 그의 사랑을 항상 연모하라

잠5:20 내 아들아 어찌하여 음녀를 연모하겠으며 어찌하여 이방 계집의 가슴을 안겠느냐

잠5:21 대저 사람의 길은 여호와의 눈 앞에 있나니 그가 그 사람의 모든 길을 평탄하게 하시느니라

잠5:22 악인은 자기의 악에 걸리며 그 죄의 줄에 매이나니

잠5:23 그는 훈계를 받지 아니함으로 말미암아 죽겠고 심히 미련함으로 말미암아 혼미하게 되느느라

갈라디아서 4 장.

갈4:1 내가 또 말하노니 유업을 이을 자가 모든 것의 주인이나 어렸을 동안에는 종과 다름이 없어서

갈4:2 그 아버지가 정한 때까지 후견인과 청지기 아래 있나니

갈4:3 이와 같이 우리도 어렸을 때에 이 세상의 초등학문 아래 있어서 종 노릇 하였더니

갈4:4 때가 차매 하나님이 그 아들을 보내사 여자에게서 나게 하시고 율법 아래에 나게 하신 것은

갈4:5 율법 아래에 있는 자들을 속량하시고 우리로 아들의 명분을 얻게 하려 하심이라

갈4:6 너희가 아들이므로 하나님이 그 아들의 영을 우리 마음 가운데 보내사 아빠 아버지라 부르게 하셨느니라

갈4:7 그러므로 네가 이후로는 종이 아니요 아들이니 아들이면 하나님으로 말미암아 유업을 받을 자니라

갈4:8 그러나 너희가 그 때에는 하나님을 알지 못하여 본질상 하나님이 아닌 자들에게 종 노릇 하였더니

갈4:9 이제는 너희가 하나님을 알 뿐 아니라 하나님이 아신 바 되었거늘 어찌하여 다시 약하고 천박한 초등학문으로 돌아가서 다시 그들에게 종 노릇 하려 하느냐

갈4:10 너희가 날과 달과 절기와 해를 삼가 지키니

갈4:11 내가 너희를 위하여 수고한 것이 헛될까 두려워하노라

갈4:12 형제들아 내가 너희와 같이 되었은즉 너희도 나와 같이 되기를 구하노라 너희가 내게 해롭게 하지 아니하였느니라

갈4:13 내가 처음에 육체의 약함으로 말미암아 너희에게 복음을 전한 것을 너희가 아는 바라

갈4:14 너희를 시험하는 것이 내 육체에 있으되 이것을 너희가 업신여기지도 아니하며 버리지도 아니하고 오직 나를 하나님의 천사와 같이 또는 그리스도 예수와 같이 영접하였도다

갈4:15 너희의 복이 지금 어디 있느냐 내가 너희에게 증언하노니 너희가 할 수만 있었더라면 너희의 눈이라도 빼어 나에게 주었으리라

갈4:16 그런즉 내가 너희에게 참된 말을 하므로 원수가 되었느냐

갈4:17 그들이 너희에게 대하여 열심 내는 것은 좋은 뜻이 아니요 오직 너희를 이간시켜 너희로 그들에게 대하여 열심을 내게 하려 함이라

갈4:18 좋은 일에 대하여 열심으로 사모함을 받음은 내가 너희를 대하였을 때뿐 아니라 언제든지 좋으니라

갈4:19 나의 자녀들아 너희 속에 그리스도의 형상을 이루기까지 다시 너희를 위하여 해산하는 수고를 하노니

갈4:20 내가 이제라도 너희와 함께 있어 내 언성을 높이려 함은 너희에 대하여 의혹이 있음이라

갈4:21 내게 말하라 율법 아래에 있고자 하는 자들아 율법을 듣지 못하였느냐

갈4:22 기록된 바 아브라함이 두 아들이 있으니 하나는 여종에게서, 하나는 자유 있는 여자에게서 났다 하였으며

갈4:23 여종에게서는 육체를 따라 났고 자유 있는 여자에게서는 약속으로 말미암았느니라

갈4:24 이것은 비유니 이 여자들은 두 언약이라 하나는 시내 산으로부터 종을 낳은 자니 곧 하갈이라

갈4:25 이 하갈은 아라비아에 있는 시내 산으로서 지금 있는 예루살렘과 같은 곳이니 그가 그 자녀들과 더불어 종 노릇 하고

갈4:26 오직 위에 있는 예루살렘은 자유자니 곧 우리 어머니라

갈4:27 기록된 바 잉태하지 못한 자여 즐거워하라 산고를 모르는 자여 소리 질러 외치라 이는 홀로 사는 자의 자녀가 남편 있는 자의 자녀보다 많음이라 하였으니

갈4:28 형제들아 너희는 이삭과 같이 약속의 자녀라

갈4:29 그러나 그 때에 육체를 따라 난 자가 성령을 따라 난 자를 박해한 것 같이 이제도 그러하도다

갈4:30 그러나 성경이 무엇을 말하느냐 여종과 그 아들을 내쫓으라 여종의 아들이 자유 있는 여자의 아들과 더불어 유업을 얻지 못하리라 하였느니라

갈4:31 그런즉 형제들아 우리는 여종의 자녀가 아니요 자유 있는 여자의 자녀니라

Exodus 29.

29:1 "This is what you are to do to consecrate them, so they may serve me as priests: Take a young bull and two rams without defect.

29:2 And from fine wheat flour, without yeast, make bread, and cakes mixed with oil, and wafers spread with oil.

29:3 Put them in a basket and present them in it--along with the bull and the two rams.

29:4 Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.

29:5 Take the garments and dress Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself and the breastpiece. Fasten the ephod on him by its skillfully woven waistband.

29:6 Put the turban on his head and attach the sacred diadem to the turban.

29:7 Take the anointing oil and anoint him by pouring it on his head.

29:8 Bring his sons and dress them in tunics

29:9 and put headbands on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons. The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance. In this way you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.

29:10 "Bring the bull to the front of the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.

29:11 Slaughter it in the LORD'S presence at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

29:12 Take some of the bull's blood and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest of it at the base of the altar.

29:13 Then take all the fat around the inner parts, the covering of the liver, and both kidneys with the fat on them, and burn them on the altar.

29:14 But burn the bull's flesh and its hide and its offal outside the camp. It is a sin offering.

29:15 "Take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.

29:16 Slaughter it and take the blood and sprinkle it against the altar on all sides.

29:17 Cut the ram into pieces and wash the inner parts and the legs, putting them with the head and the other pieces.

29:18 Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, an offering made to the LORD by fire.

29:19 "Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.

29:20 Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then sprinkle blood against the altar on all sides.

29:21 And take some of the blood on the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. Then he and his sons and their garments will be consecrated.

29:22 "Take from this ram the fat, the fat tail, the fat on the inner parts, the covering of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. (This is the ram for the ordination.)

29:23 From the basket of bread made without yeast, which is before the LORD, take a loaf, and a cake made with oil, and a wafer.

29:24 Put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.

29:25 Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering for a pleasing aroma to the LORD, an offering made to the LORD by fire.

29:26 After you take the breast of the ram for Aaron's ordination, wave it before the LORD as a wave offering, and it will be your share.

29:27 "Consecrate those parts of the ordination ram that belong to Aaron and his sons: the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented.

29:28 This is always to be the regular share from the Israelites for Aaron and his sons. It is the contribution the Israelites are to make to the LORD from their fellowship offerings.

29:29 "Aaron's sacred garments will belong to his descendants so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.

29:30 The son who succeeds him as priest and comes to the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place is to wear them seven days.

29:31 "Take the ram for the ordination and cook the meat in a sacred place.

29:32 At the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket.

29:33 They are to eat these offerings by which atonement was made for their ordination and consecration. But no one else may eat them, because they are sacred.

29:34 And if any of the meat of the ordination ram or any bread is left over till morning, burn it up. It must not be eaten, because it is sacred.

29:35 "Do for Aaron and his sons everything I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them.

29:36 Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.

29:37 For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy.

29:38 "This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two lambs a year old.

29:39 Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.

29:40 With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.

29:41 Sacrifice the other lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and its drink offering as in the morning--a pleasing aroma, an offering made to the LORD by fire.

29:42 "For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD. There I will meet you and speak to you;

29:43 there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory.

29:44 "So I will consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar and will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.

29:45 Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.

29:46 They will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.

John 8.

8:1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

8:2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.

8:3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group

8:4 and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.

8:5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"

8:6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

8:8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

8:9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

8:10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

8:11 "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

8:13 The Pharisees challenged him, "Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid."

8:14 Jesus answered, "Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.

8:15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one.

8:16 But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.

8:17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid.

8:18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me."

8:19 Then they asked him, "Where is your father?" "You do not know me or my Father," Jesus replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also."

8:20 He spoke these words while teaching in the temple area near the place where the offerings were put. Yet no one seized him, because his time had not yet come.

8:21 Once more Jesus said to them, "I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come."

8:22 This made the Jews ask, "Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, 'Where I go, you cannot come'?"

8:23 But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins."

8:25 "Who are you?" they asked. "Just what I have been claiming all along," Jesus replied.

8:26 "I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is reliable, and what I have heard from him I tell the world."

8:27 They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father.

8:28 So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.

8:29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him."

8:30 Even as he spoke, many put their faith in him.

8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

8:33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"

8:34 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

8:35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.

8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

8:37 I know you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word.

8:38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you do what you have heard from your father."

8:39 "Abraham is our father," they answered. "If you were Abraham's children," said Jesus, "then you would do the things Abraham did.

8:40 As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things.

8:41 You are doing the things your own father does." "We are not illegitimate children," they protested. "The only Father we have is God himself."

8:42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.

8:43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.

8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

8:45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!

8:46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me?

8:47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."

8:48 The Jews answered him, "Aren't we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?"

8:49 "I am not possessed by a demon," said Jesus, "but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.

8:50 I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge.

8:51 I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."

8:52 At this the Jews exclaimed, "Now we know that you are demon-possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that if anyone keeps your word, he will never taste death.

8:53 Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?"

8:54 Jesus replied, "If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.

8:55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and keep his word.

8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad."

8:57 "You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"

8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

8:59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

Proverbs 5.

5:1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom, listen well to my words of insight,

5:2 that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge.

5:3 For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil;

5:4 but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword.

5:5 Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.

5:6 She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths are crooked, but she knows it not.

5:7 Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say.

5:8 Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,

5:9 lest you give your best strength to others and your years to one who is cruel,

5:10 lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich another man's house.

5:11 At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.

5:12 You will say, "How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!

5:13 I would not obey my teachers or listen to my instructors.

5:14 I have come to the brink of utter ruin in the midst of the whole assembly."

5:15 Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well.

5:16 Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares?

5:17 Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers.

5:18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.

5:19 A loving doe, a graceful deer--may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love.

5:20 Why be captivated, my son, by an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another man's wife?

5:21 For a man's ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all his paths.

5:22 The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnare him; the cords of his sin hold him fast.

5:23 He will die for lack of discipline, led astray by his own great folly.

Galatians 4.

4:1 What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.

4:2 He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father.

4:3 So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world.

4:4 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law,

4:5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

4:6 Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."

4:7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

4:8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.

4:9 But now that you know God--or rather are known by God--how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?

4:10 You are observing special days and months and seasons and years!

4:11 I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

4:12 I plead with you, brothers, become like me, for I became like you. You have done me no wrong.

4:13 As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you.

4:14 Even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself.

4:15 What has happened to all your joy? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me.

4:16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

4:17 Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them.

4:18 It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always and not just when I am with you.

4:19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you,

4:20 how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!

4:21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says?

4:22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman.

4:23 His son by the slave woman was born in the ordinary way; but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a promise.

4:24 These things may be taken figuratively, for the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar.

4:25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.

4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

4:27 For it is written: "Be glad, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth and cry aloud, you who have no labor pains; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband."

4:28 Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.

4:29 At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now.

4:30 But what does the Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son."

4:31 Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
